Trail-Ready: The New Balance 610T “Phantom”

The New Balance 610T, which emerged in the early 2010s, has had a significant presence in the public eye throughout the past year. Its latest appearance showcases a subtle “Phantom/Blacktop” colorway, indicating its readiness for the trail.

All the classic elements of the shoe are retained in this version. The upper features a breathable mesh base layer complemented by suede and other fabric panels. The predominant navy and black hues create a subdued backdrop for distinctive hairy components on the tongue and spine, which boast a brown finish. The “N” logos on the profiles and at the rear foot are in an approved grey tone, complementing the overall design. The well-proven sole unit consists of several shades of “Blacktop,” contributing to the overall understated look of the NB 610T. Unlike previous renditions from the Boston-based brand, this “Phantom” trail shoe doesn’t incorporate protective GORE-TEX membranes, potentially impacting its performance in specific conditions. Nevertheless, this 11-year-old design has withstood the transition from street to trail through inline releases and collaborations.

Official images of the dark-themed NB 610T are now available. While pairs are currently offered at select retailers overseas, a launch on newbalance.com in the US is yet to be confirmed. However, there is a possibility for it to be available as 2024 progresses. The retail price for the New Balance 610T is set at $110 USD.

Travis Scott May Not Be Done With The Air Jordan 1 Low OG After All

“Black Olive” Travis Scott Jordan 1 Low OG

“Black Olive” Travis Scott Jordan 1 Low OG

Travis Scott has been focused on the Jordan “Cut the Check,” his unnamed, first original design for Nike, Inc. And while the Houston-bred artist is surely following through with the plan, he may be revisiting the Air Jordan 1 Low OG again next fall.

According to the @zSneakerHeadz and Sneaker Files tag team, La Flame will bring a “Black Olive” makeover to the low-top retro. The Cactus Jack-frontman is no stranger to the silhouette, having reworked the Air Jordan model six different times over the last handful of years. Travis Scott’s next offering is expected to feature a familiar “Black/Sail/Medium Olive/Muslin” color palette.

Suede overlays across the shoe should indulge in a muted green, while base layers boast a clean “Black” finish. Scott’s now-signature reverse swoosh on the lateral profile is expected to take on an off-white look that falls in line with the creative’s “Reverse Mocha” pair from July 2022.

Other details expected on the “Black Olive” Jordan 1 Low by Travis Scott include Cactus Jack branding on the tongue, sock liners, and heel. Furthermore, the joint effort is set to arrive with “aged” midsoles.

No word has been disclosed by the brand about the pair being a women’s exclusive, but that could change as Scott and Nike, Inc. cater to their female consumer base more. The sneaker, however, is expected to arrive in Little Kid’s (SKU: DO5441-002) and Toddler (SKU: DO5442-002) sizing.

Enjoy a preliminary mock-up of the rumored “Black Olive” Travis Scott Jordan 1 Low ahead. If the rumor is true, the collaboration is expected to hit Nike SNKRS between August and November 2024.
